Medical Director Glen A. Halvorson MS, MD has over 40 years of experience across medical disciplines of sports medicine, pain management, and multidisciplinary musculoskeletal and neuromuscular medicine. He has served as a volunteer physician at the US Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs working with judo, wrestling, and powerlifting and for ten years was director of the sports injury clinic at the University of Arizona student health center. His passion for helping overweight adults and teenagers has been further fueled by 23 years as an insulin dependent diabetic caused by a viral pancreatitis. As part of a lifelong commitment to proper nutrition and exercise Dr. Halvorson trains daily. His favorite exercises are power lifting, kettlebells and the use of a Keiser FT for functional training helping him to maintain a zero handicap in golf.
